And since they made the Shoretroopers one of these groups of Imperials, we’re glad to see them extrapolating this branch so soon. Hasbro has ensured to fill the line very early with some of the key troopers in the film. With some different color flashing and some new tooling, the Scarif Stormtrooper hopefully will be easily attainable for the many 6” collectors that are out there now. Based on 2016’s TBS Scarif Stormtrooper Squad Leader (28) figure, the more “generic” Scarif Stormtrooper is Walmart’s 2016 TBS6 exclusive release, and quite frankly it looks just as great as the main line release. That being said, the Scarif Stormtrooper is pretty much everything we expected it to be.

For us, our opinion is strong that it shouldn’t be more difficult to build your army than find its leader. Shouldn’t the Scarif Stormtrooper Squad Leader be the exclusive since you only need one of him technically? It may seem moot to contemplate Hasbro’s decisions, but things were never really like this in the past. A basic (Original Trilogy) C-3PO is a Walgreens’ exclusive? How is that possible? And now the “army building” version of the Scarif Stormtrooper (not the Squad Leader) is a Walmart exclusives.

While some of the items released as store exclusives make sense, others choices do not. It should be pretty clear at this point that we’re really perplexed at what Hasbro is doing for The Black Series 6” exclusive program.
